My little Princess is turning two! We decided on a Princess Tea Party.
I had just had a wedding, so I had lots of tulle and flowers to decorate with. There will be only four little girls at the party (2yrs-41/2 yrs.).
When the girls arrive, they will have a princess picture frame craft to do.
Afterwords they will play dress up. I purchased a chest of princess clothes, complete with gloves and necklaces, for a very reasonable price at Wal-Mart along with little kid makeup set (lip gloss, blush, stick on earrings.
After getting dressed, they will each sit in a chair decorated with tulle and flowers with a castle backdrop (purchased from Party City)and have their picture taken with a poloroid. They will get this picture to put in their frame at the end of the party.
They will then have the tea party. I decided to decorate my daughters play table and chairs (Ikea). I will use pink material that I got a while ago to cover the table. I will use a pretty pink plastic vase as a centerpeice and fill it with fresh flowers.
I will set the table with a lovely tea set that my daughter got for Christmas. I will use white linen napkins with a crown napkin holder with each girls name on it (I made these with supplies from Michaels). They will have pink lemonade and strawberries that they can dip in Splenda (dinner will be served later with the Adults so I didn't want to ruined their appitites with anything too heavy.
After the tea party, the girls will play pin the lips on the frog.
When this is done, the royal ball begins and the girls get to dance with their prince charming (their Dads).
After dinner, cake will be served, a castle cake that I will make, I saw the instructions on the internet and hope that I can pull it off.
Those are our plans for this weekend!
