Makeover -11yr- Mary-Kay Make-up

For my daughters 11th birthday we are having a Make-over/Sleepover night.  I am pretty thrifty so I am making this as inexpensive and fun as possible!    Each girl will receive an invitation made into the shape of a pillow.  The highlights of the evening will be on the invitation. 

When they arrive I will take a "Before" picture of each girl.  At the party we will have four stations set up.  A "Salon" with a professional hair stylist. (my stylist is doing it for free as a thank-you for doing business with her)  I purchased little flower mirrors (very cheap from oriental trading co.) to put up on the wall for decorations.  These will be placed around a larger mirror so the girls can watch their hairstyles being done. (the mirrors will be their party favors). 

The station will have all the necessary "stuff" curling irons, hair dryer, clips, pins, etc... The clips and pins used will be their party favors from this station.

The next station is the "Manicure Station"  a friend (again charging nothing) will be doing the girls' nails and give them advice on how to do it properly.  I will have available a variety of colors.  The girls will each bring home a bottle as a party favor.

The third station is a "Mary-Kay Make-up with Mary Station".  (I'll have a poster of Mary-Kate and Ashley near that station)A relative of ours is a consultant and again is charging nothing for her services.  She hopes that someone may buy some product but if not that is okay.  She will give out tips and advice and offer the girls free samples...another party favor! 

Our final station will be to "Decorate your own glitter gel station". I paid about $5.00 for 12 undecorated body gel containers through oriental trading.  The girls can decorate their containers with the stickers which are included.  At this station I will also have fashion magazines (I will borrow some of the hair style magazines from my hairdresser friend) and "How to Books" available which I will sign out at the library...again free! 

After the make-overs are done we will take "After" pictures of the girls-my husband will then bring the film in to get developed at a one hour place. We will then head out for pizza so the girls can show off their new looks! Back at our place we will open gifts then close-down the Beauty shop and offer advice on how to properly remove make up. 

The girls will then watch a fun movie and then get some much needed sleep. (yeah right Mom!)  In the morning we will have "Birthday Pancakes" in lieu of birthday cake.  I will have fun toppings available like whip cream, flavored syrup, etc... The girls will then be picked up with memories of a very fun party!

The Before and After pictures will also be a party favor.  Decorations:  Mini-mirrors, posters, fashion magazines, (lipstick pinata-for decorating only, posters of Olson Twins, fun lighting.  Cost:  My budget is about $100.00 which I am trying vary hard to stay under!
