Barney Luau -2yr- Ring the Flamingo

For my daughter Dallas's 2nd Birthday she wanted to do Barney.  So I thought I would jazz it up alittle and we had a Barney Luau!  It turned out fantastic and everyone had a blast. 

With a two car garage we decorated the center outside of the garage with a Large 6 ft. Cardboard painted Barney with a lei around his neck, my father-in-Law made it. 

On the two outside parts of the garage we put 2 6 ft. painted bamboo trees with coconuts on it.  Then in the front yard we put tiki polls and bamboo torches. 

Inside the garage we decorated it with cardboard painted fish and sharks that my husband, son, daughter and I did ourselves.(It was so much fun making them!)  The tables where decorated with Luau tableclothes.

One table had my daughter's Barney sitting on it for a centerpiece with a lei around his neck, the other had a flamingo for the centerpiece. (We purchased that from oriental trading)

The flamingo was  one of our games, it was toss the ring around the flamingos neck.  We also played the limbo, had a Barney pinata and played pin the tail on the monkey. 

When guests arrived they all received leis to wear.  My favor bags included make your own grass skirt, a lei, and a pair of morraccas. 

We served Ham with Pineapple slices, shrimp,and marrinated chicken shish kabobs.  We served tropical punch to drink.

The cake was home made with Barney drawn on it.  It said"Happy Birthday Dallas, I Love You!" The children and I had a ball preparing for it!
