Princess Pepperonie
My daughter chose pizza. We came up with names for the different varieties and placed a card with the name in front of each kind: Princess Pepperoni Charming Cheese Her Majesty's Ham. I made them by using table tent cards punching a heart in the corner and writing the name with a fuchsia pen.
I then taped a penny inside of them to weight them down. We made fruit kabobs with pineapple grapes strawberries and marshmallows and called them Princess Wands. We served pink punch to stick with the color scheme.
Giselle's Breakfast
One of the funniest scenes of the movie is when Giselle attempts to make breakfast for Morgan. In a classic twist on this fairytale scene provide a breakfast for your meal.
You can include things like: Mini muffins or mini cinnamon rolls Cereal Crown waffles with whipped cream (see recipe below) Strawberries and other fruit Juice hot cocoa or milk Serve your meal with the princess goblets and old fashioned themed place ware.
During the meal a princess can come and talk to the girls about how a princess was to eat drink and act at a meal. The girls may enjoy trying to sit up straight at the table and eat patting there lips gently with a napkin and then laughing at their attempts.
Crown Waffles and Whipped Cream: 1 pkg square frozen waffles Squeezable Strawberry Jam Ready Whip White Chocolate Chips (optional) Knife Cook each frozen waffle according to package directions. When cooked cut two small rectangle shapes out of the top of each waffle so you have the appearance of three spires.
With the squeezable jam outline the shape of the crown. Place dots of jam if desired at various spots on the crown and top with a white chocolate chip to give the appearance of jewels. When ready to eat serve with ready whip whipped cream.
Pink Finger Foods
I served pink finger foods such as cookies and one mother sent us fairy bread. (White bread butter with sugar and sprinkles cut into triangles) crackers and pink cream cheese and grapes. The tea had to be pink too, but with this we had to experiment. I found that just because the box is red the tea may not come out red.
The strawberry tea I bought was not very "strawberry" tasting enough for us as well. I fixed that by making the tea this way. I made a half pot of strawberry tea with three bags, let it steep a bit and then I added a few drops of strawberry extract and three - four drops of red coloring as well.
Then I added milk and sugar to taste. I served this tea and the girls loved their pink strawberry tea enough to ask for more.
Royal Toast
I gave each child a small amount of Raspberry Ginger Ale and I had all the friends raise their glasses and say Happy Birthday to my daughter....We did it a couple of times because the camera was not ready.
Next we served the Castle Cake we had made using two 9x13 pan and three mini loaf pans....My husband fashioned a moat and a drawbridge with flags and we used icecream sugarcone for the turrets, and gumdrops all around the castle. It was awesome and all the kids loved it. (It was hard to cut into it....it looked so nice.)
Tea Party
The tea party was next! The girls were ushered into the dining room that I had managed to squeeze in an additional small table to fit up against my dining table.
Food served was homemade sugar cookies decorated in pink and red sugar (my daughter and I did these together the day before), pastel colored mini marshmallows in a big silver bowl, pastel skittles served from my silver sugar skuttle and scoop (they LOVED doing this!), mini blueberry muffins, pink sugar wafer cookies, flower "ring" butter cookies, Carr's tea biscuits and blueberry wafer biscuits, and fruit skewers of apple, pineapple, red grapes and strawberrys.
I used paper parasols left over from a luau we had the year before to skewer the fruit. To drink was pink lemonade and Raspberry Iced Tea. I had bought a cute teapot that stacked on its own teacup for my daughter to feel special. It was decorated in a subtle Christmas theme (party was in August), but she never noticed and loved it!!

Princess Foods
Princess foods Jasmine's jelly sandwiches; Cinderella's cheese chunks; Ariel's watermelon, Belle's bugles, Sleeping Beauty's chocolate dipped strawberries & Snow White's apple slices (these were only prepared at the last minute (only cut up two to start) as the other princess food is announced and displayed on the table that was used for make-up (minus the make-up and mirror). We also served Pink Lemonade.
Pink Plates & Goblets
I used pink plates and napkins and had pink and purple pop served in plastic wine goblets that had the peel and stick jewels around the edge (careful with small children!) and I made candy skewers out of swizzle sticks in the shape of swords and various types of candy. use soft candy, as they break easily. eck this letter! I hope you get some useful ideas here. I know I will return to this site often for inspiration on future birthdays… Have fun!!
Prescooped Ice Cream
I had prescooped the ice cream and put each scoop into a cupcake liner. These were waiting in the freezer and made it very easy to serve when it came time. As the kids were finishing their dessert, the doorbell rang. The birthday girl answered the door and to her surprise, there stood Cinderella!!
Princess Tea Treats
For 'tea' we served apple juice in the silver tea pitcher (My daughter and her friend kept busy refilling the cups as they were only good for a sip!), mini Ritz crackers with peanut butter, mini Ritz crackers with cheese, slices of ham and cheese rolled up and sliced into 1" rolls with a frilly toothpick stuck in each roll, and mini chocolate chip cookies.
These were all served from small crystal serving dishes I had picked up at garage sales. In lieu of a birthday cake we made tea cups and tea pots from cupcakes.
Tarts and Sweets
The food was all white red and pink. Mostly various pretty biscuits, jam tarts, and sweets. I tried not to over do it so the girls had room for cake. In tea pots we had chocolate and strawberry milk, which the girls drank out of their china tea cups.
Five Course Feast
For dinner (lunch) we had a true royal banquet at the table. We took out a manners book and decided on a 5 course meal.
The first course was a fruit course and we had sliced strawberries with sugar,
the second course was poached chicken breast with Rosemary and corn,
the fish course was a breaded fish fillet with tomato catsup, dill and sliced carrots.
The forth course was salad of sliced romaine and tomatoes and carrot chips (this was arranged like a rose with carrot leaves).
The fifth course was dessert of chocolate cup with ice cream and strawberries.
Bread was on the table for family style service. We used salad plate and saucers to serve each of the courses and only used extremely small portions for each plate. We used the royal banquet to practice table manners.
There were plenty of please and thank yous when passing each princess the bread and butter, how we can leave things we don't like on the side of our plate and we discussed when to eat (waiting for your hostess).
Not one asked to be excused early with all the excitement of so much food moving around so fast. It worked out very well and I used two portions of fish and one breast of chicken for all the girls. The vegetables were favorites from the can (it's not cheating!).
I didn't have to purchase anything special except for the chocolate cups, which I already had for another party and didn't ever use. Keep in mind that this all must be in very, very small portions.
Cream Cheese Pineapple
The menu consisted of cream cheese and crushed pineapple sandwiches cut into a flower shape; peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut into a heart shape (daughter's idea); mini pigs in a blanket using cocktail franks and canned crescent rolls (daughter's idea); watergate salad made with pistachio pudding, cool whip, marshmallows, and crushed pineapple; toothpicks with a piece of cheese and apple on them that my daughter thought up and made; and pink punch made using cherry and fruit punch Kool-Aid, Sprite and vanilla ice cream served from a large glass punch bowl.
Pink Royal Food
For food, we of course had pizza and tried to make the rest of the food pink since it was a pink party! We made homemade rice krispy treats using pink food coloring, pink cupcakes with pink princess rings on top (ordered from cakesnthings online), pink strawberry cookies & wafers (grocery store), pink sugar cookies shaped like slippers (accented with pastel m&ms), some shaped like crowns (used pastel m&ms to make the jewels on the crowns).(cookie cutters from online cakesnthings).
I bought the disposable champayne cups from the $ store and glued rhinestones on the outer part and put pink jello in these, topped with cool whip & sprinkled with pink sugar (sprinkles)...The kids really loved these & they loved great on the table. We had a baker make two adorable cakes--round with a princess that matched invitations...one had brown hair and one blonde for each child. This was our centerpieces for the table in which we had a pink gingham cloth on and also a vase of pink roses.
We used the drink boxes for drinks & printed big mailing labels for them with a princess on them which said "Pink Pixie Punch" For plates, we bought pink ones & glued rhinestones around the edges, each spoon also had a rhinestone for accent. We also served icecream cups.
For decorations, we used pink & white tulle throughout and also adorable pink wands (dollar store). The deck was adorned with white tulle (cloth store) and all of the kids tables had miscellaneous pink fabric cut with pinking sheers to cover. We set the tables up under a canopy and decoarted it and the back yard with tulle & hot pink, light pink & white balloons.
Crown Jewel Appetizers
Since party was at 1, just served appetizers, jello jigglers in diamond shapes (Crown jewels), meatballs (family jewels~ha ha), Princess potion (raspberry sherbet and 7-up), hot dogs and crescent rolls, fruit salad, shrimp and cocktail sauce, a round loaf of bread, (Cinderella's Coach), filled with spinach dip, 2 cucumber slices placed at the bottom to look like wheels, and white string tied to 2 horses... rice crispy treats in the shape of stars, and a popsicle stick going through it, and curling ribbon attached, for magic wands, meat and cheese trays, and other appetizers.
