Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star Party for 1 yr. old We had a star party for my 1-year-old daughter.
For the invitations, I wrote a poem using a variation on the Twinkle Twinkle song and printed it out on yellow paper and cut it in the shape of a star. I then glued some glitter to make it sparkle.
For decorations, I just cut out a lot of different shaped stars in different shades of yellow. I then taped them to nylon thread and hung them from the ceiling and chandelier. You couldn't see the thread so it looked like the stars were floating - a big hit for a one-year-old.
I made star confetti using a star-shaped hole punch and spread around the table.
For a game (for the older kids), I made star-shaped cookies with a hole for a ribbon. Adults could hold them up and the kids tried to eat them without using their hands. Younger kids liked wearing the cookies around their neck!
Other snacks included star-shaped cereal (Mickey Mouse I think - tasted like lucky charms) and a star-shaped birthday cake.
Thank You notes were easy to make with card stock and using the star-shaped punch used for the confetti.
