My son wanted a 5yr Curious George party.

For invitations we got white cards from Michaels and bought 2 curious george stamps from ebay. I colored them in once I stamped them in black. On the front with a stamp it said Are you curious? Inside there was a different stamp and it said We'd go bananas if you could join us and the info. I also had personalized address labels, stickers and lollipop tags that I had bought from cargostork on ebay.

We had the party in the church basement and decorated with curious george posters my husband made, tons of mylar curious george balloons, latex curious george balloons and we used bananas to hold them down we put these on each table along with curious george confetti sprinkled around. We also had a blown up picture of my son with a painted on monkey face when you came in the door and it said come on in and monkey around with me.

For food we had veggie tray with dip, cheese cubes, chicken tray from walmart with all kinds of chicken, lots of different pizza from Pizza Hut and chips and dip.

For the cake a friend of ours made it and it was awesome we also had a cupcake cake from Walmart that was a palm tree with curious george swinging from it. We used some curious george plates, napkins and cups but incorporated red and yellow stuff in there as well.

We did a craft with the kids that we ordered from oriental trading a monkey picture frame. We took each kids picture and will mail it in the thank you cards. We also had a guessing game when you came in guess how many bananas are in the runts. That was cute we did 3 different jars. We also had scrapbook pages for people to sign to put in his b-day scrapbook. While our son opened presents we gave out like 5 or 6 curious george things to the kids that were sitting and listening. We also decorated with stuffed curious george's and curious george books.

I read a book Curious George goes to the chocolate factory and afterwards gave all the kids a choclate curious george lollipop that I had made. I bought the mold on ebay as well. The kids that were too little I gave curious george gummies too. We had a curious george pinata too for the kids.

Then we handed out gift bags for everyone a red or yellow bag with a curious george sticker on the front that said Chase's 5th birthday inside everyone got popcorn, bubbles, curious george pencil, cg gel pen, cg sticker, a curious george activity, coloring book and curious george banana bread recipe all stapled together we made from getting the pages off the internet.

They also got curious george dry erase boards, a cone of cocoa that I made and curious george gummies. The little kids that were like 2 yrs old got a curious george book and the babies each got a plush curious george.

We had 16 bigger kids there, 3 little 2 yr olds and 3 infants so we had a lot of things going on. It was a great time and everyone seemed to enjoy it.  We had a blast and our son is already thinking of next year.

For the thank you cards we are going to use the same cards from Michaels and take a picture of our son from the party and inside write Thank you for going bananas with me on my 5th birthday it was oo-oh-awesome. We will also send the kids picture in the thank you note as well.
