Cinderella Party The invitation (a picture of a glass slipper with party info typed on it) was printed on transparency film and was backed with vellum (so you could read the writing). I punched two holes at the top of the "glass slipper" and tied the papers together with a blue piece of ribbon. After tying the two papers together, I cut around the outline of the shoe.
Cinderella Party Games & Activities
Pin the Star on the Fairy Godmother's Wand Items needed: Poster board, markers, chalk, white cardstock, spray adhesive, glitter, blindfold, masking tape. On a large poster board, draw a picture of a fairy godmother holding her magic wand. Don't draw the star on the tip of the magic wand. Draw enough stars for your guests on white pieces of cardstock Write the names of each guest on a star. Spray stars with spray adhesive. Sprinkle stars with glitter. Cut out the stars. Attach a rolled piece of masking tape on the back of each star. If desired, cover masking tape with a small piece of wax paper so that stars are ready when play begins.
Blindfold each guest and turn them around three times. With star in hand, point guest in direction of the Fairy Godmother. Winner is the guest who places their star nearest to the end of the Fairy Godmother's magic wand. I used a coloring book and a tracer projector (which can be found at most hobby/craft stores) to trace my picture of the Fairy Godmother. I then outlined my drawing with markers and colored the inside of the picture with chalks.
Cinderella's Crown White plastic visor for each guest, silver spray paint, spray adhesive, glitter, various colors and sizes of faux jewels, tacky glue. Spray paint each plastic visor silver a day or two before the party. When dry, spray crown with spray adhesive and immediately sprinkle with glitter. Set aside until the day of the party. Let the guests glue jewels onto their crowns. When dry, wear the visors as you would a headband, as opposed to the way you would wear a visor.
Search for the Lost Slipper Have each player take off their shoes. Put the shoes in the middle of the room. Everyone goes to the center and puts on two different shoes. The objective is to be the first one to get your own shoes back. Guests go from player to player looking for their shoes. When a player finds one of their shoes, the other player must give it to them and take the one from them that isn't theirs. The first player to be again wearing his own shoes is the winner.
Cinderella's Lost Slipper Have each child take off one shoe and place it in the middle of the room. Children cover their eyes while Drizella and Anastasia, Cinderella's evil step sisters, hide their shoes. Pretend that you hear them coming into the room. As you pretend to talk to them, hide the children's shoes. Have the children open their eyes. Where are their shoes? Have the children search the room for their shoes. The Cake I bought a Cinderella (Barbie type) doll and made a doll cake.
The Treat Bag The "treat bag" consisted of a Cinderella party blower, Cinderella stickers, a silver pencil, glitter bracelet, and necklace. I used a clear (mylar) bag to put the "treats" in and tied the bags with irridescent blue curling ribbon.
NOTE: I made some scrapbook pages of my daughter's party that made it into Creating Keepsakes Magazine's Big Idea Book of Disney Memories.
